Classic style in interior design

The history of the classic style is rich and rich. The birth and formation of this style began in the time of the Roman Empire. But the full decoration of the style, as a separate trend in art and architecture, began only 300 years ago. And throughout this time, the classic style absorbed the most luxurious, relevant, refined interior elements and combinations. The main principles of the classical style are: luxury, chic, comfort, convenience, wealth and elegance.

That is why the classic style is difficult to confuse with any other.

After all, it carries in itself a special atmosphere of an elite dwelling of all times and peoples. Recognition, distribution and popularity of this style fell on the most developed part of the medieval world – in Western Europe.

But, for the interior in this classic style you will need to spend a lot of money, because this style does not tolerate any restrictions in price and quality. Classic style involves the use of only expensive natural materials and exclusive furniture.

For the classic style are characteristic:
Items of proper, elegant form;
The severity of the lines;
Rich decor: columns, various arches, frescoes, etc .;
Furniture made of precious wood with carved figured legs, handles and backs;
Gilding, and the use of other valuable metals;
The ceiling is decorated with stucco. Large chandelier with pendants (glass or crystal);
Expensive, relief wallpapers of light tones: yellow, beige, cream, olive, pale pink;
Drapery walls with expensive fabrics (silk), tapestries;
The windows are decorated with pelmets, curtains and thick, large curtains (As a rule, Roman curtains are of bright color);
The use of natural wood parquet;
Availability of accessories: floor clocks, figurines, antique details, paintings, mirrors in gilded or wooden framed, copperware and crystal jewelry.
The presence or apparent dominance of the snow-white color;
Do not forget that we live in the 21st century. Consequently, in our house there is not a single room in which there would be no equipment. But you don’t need to worry and worry in advance about how to incorporate the modern achievements of humanity into the classical style. After all, everything is very simple. With the help of a thin plasma TV, which can be carefully attached to the wall, your interior will become even more chic and bohemian. Technical items may well spoil the interior in a classic style, but if you place them neatly and correctly, the impression will remain correct.

With the help of the classical style, you can feel like a real aristocrat or, as they say today, “the lord of life”. At the same time, any guests will adequately appreciate your taste and design preferences. Classic is always alive and relevant!
