Stylish and modern living room

Living room – the most spacious and bright room in an apartment or house. Here not only the family has a rest, but also guests gather, birthday parties are celebrated with friends. Therefore, the interior of the living room should meet several requirements at once: be presentable and stylish, comfortable and functional.

Furniture placement
If you have conceived a change in the interior, start with planning the room furnishing. The traditional way: it is a soft sofa, perhaps complete with armchairs, and a large TV opposite. Technique can be hung on the wall or put on the cabinet. To organize the storage system in this case will help cheap walls for the living room – a combination of cabinets and shelves.

A fresh solution is to place the sofa and chairs opposite each other, arrange a space for communication, and place a small coffee table or a soft island in the center of the composition. In modern living rooms, electric fireplaces with artificial flames are increasingly common. If your daily rest is unthinkable without technology, the screen can be attached to the ceiling on the hanging brackets.

Space zoning
Are you the happy owner of the overall hall? Large space can be divided into functional areas. A cozy corner with a soft sofa for watching movies, a dining group including a large table and several chairs, a working surface for a computer with a comfortable chair, a children’s playground – from these seemingly incompatible zones a living room space can be added. Moreover, the construction of walls for their separation is not necessary. It is enough to provide for a multi-level floor (ceiling), or simply correctly arrange the furniture.

An angular sofa (with or without a big berth) or a narrow rack placed perpendicular to the wall will help to break the space into semantic parts without making changes to the layout.

Color and semantic accents
In matters of color design, everything is limited by generally accepted standards and your imagination. Experts recommend sticking to the “rule of three”: choose one low-key color (it can be used in different shades) as the main color, and the two remaining ones should be used for decoration, furniture design and accessories.

In a small room you should not use dark colors – they will make the room gloomy. The drawbacks of the elongated narrow space will be brightened by contrasting wallpapers on opposite walls or overall mirrors.

Lighting
Lighting plays an important role in the perception of the living room interior. With the help of several light sources you can visually expand the space. In addition to the overhead light (large chandeliers and built-in lights), be sure to provide a side. Above the chair where you like to sit with a book, hang a compact sconce or place a floor lamp next to it. Table lamps can be used not only in the bedroom, but also in the living room – they will create a warm, homely atmosphere.

Accessories
The design of the modern living room completes the accessories. Traditionally, these are paintings or decorative panels, mirrors, fresh or artificial flowers, statuette or tableware collections, photo frames, and textiles. With them, the interior becomes “alive” and very comfortable.
