The glass is deep carved by sandblasting it in layers to achieve a three dimensional effect. Using an abrasive medium, (aluminum oxide) under pressure, patterns are carved into the piece of glass. This process is not done by a machine or a computer. Each piece is done by the hands of the artist. If required, the artwork can then be airbrushed with translucent or opaque paints for jewel-like tones and rich luminescent colors that bring the subject to life.
